Nintendo Gamecube emulators

Nintendo's first ever console to use an optical disk system for loading games is the 128-bit Gamecube. It competes with Sony's Playstation 2 and Microsoft's XBox.

Specs:
  • Contemporary cube shape
  • 4 controller ports
  • 2 memory card slots
  • Capacity for future modem/broadband connection
  • 485MHz custom CPU with 162MHz custom graphics processor
  • 40MB total memory; 2.6 GB per second memory bandwidth
  • 12M polygons per second; texture read bandwidth 10.4 GB per second
  • 64 audio channels
  • Dimensions 4.5" x 5.9" x 6.3"
  • 3-inch Optical Disc Technology (1.5 gigabytes)
Be warned that there have been many fake emulators, so be careful when you download one from any site other than ours.

GCEmu

GCEmu is a very incomplete emulator for the Nintendo Gamecube. It uses recompilation techniques and other tricks to achieve a reasonable speed. Although emulation is very incomplete, it shows that 'it can be done' and can be done at a decent speed.

Dolwin

Click to view more... Dolwin is an open source Game Cube emulator fully written with C.

Even though it's still under development you can still be able to boot and run some commercial games and a few demos.

This
comes with a demo that you can play to test the emulator. Since the Game Cube system is still new to emulate it perfectly, remember not to expect a good emulation with commercial games, some may run and some may not.

Dolphin

Click to view more... Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Even at its early stage some games manage to load and run but not perfectly. Please remember that Dolphin is an experimental GameCube emulator so many games might not run and for the ones that do run you will need a strong PC..

Dolphi now also makes progress in emulating Wii games.
  • System requirements:
  • GFX: Radeon 9500+ series card recommended, but GE FORCE FX SERIES also work. Expect severe graphics problems with lower cards.
  • CPU: The fastest you can find.
  • RAM: 256MB or higher strongly recommended.
  • Audio: Any Windows/DirectX-compatible soundcard.
